The Potomac Rose Society is thrilled to kick off the new year by welcoming true ROSE WORLD ROYALTY!

William Radler—internationally acclaimed creator of the iconic Knock Out® Rose and a revolutionary force in modern rose breeding—will join us live via Zoom for an exclusive virtual appearance, along with his colleague Bryce Schoen, Director of Hybridizing at Rose Innovations, LLC.

Did you know that many Radler-bred roses show remarkable resistance to rose midge, leafhoppers, and Japanese beetles???

These pests can be devastating to a rose garden, leaving you with no blooms despite all of your hard work.  Now, thanks to superior breeding, we can enjoy varieties that are naturally resistant, ensuring beautiful, reliable flowers year after year.

We are in for a rare treat as William and Bryce share an inside look at these exciting new rose varieties developed beyond the Knock Out® series, showcasing exceptional disease resistance, outstanding vigor, and long-lasting repeat blooms. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear from two of the brightest minds in modern rose breeding!

William (Will) Radler is internationally recognized as the father of the Knock Out® Rose. This 2000 AARS Award -winner, his first introduction, has revolutionized the industry for its low maintenance qualities. Impervious to bugs and black spot, repeat blooming from spring to frost, winter hardy and self cleaning, Knock Out® became the new industry standard.

Although his main horticultural interest is the rose, his first plant introduction in 1999 was the garden mum Rosetta; then came Verbena Sweet Thing in 2010, and Tradescantia Amethyst Mist in 2013.

Bryce Schoen is the Director of Hybridizing at Rose Innovations. He joined the company in 2018 as a General Gardener, and over the past seven years has developed extensive expertise in rose history, plant care, irrigation, and integrated pest management.

Bryce holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Wisconsin Lutheran College, earned in 2017. His proudest achievement so far has been designing and renovating the company’s rose room to feature self-watering, ebb and flow hydroponic tables. Bryce is passionate about continuing Will’s legacy: creating disease resistant, low-maintenance, and beautiful roses to bring to the market.

Attendance is limited to 100 participants, and Potomac Rose Society members enjoy early access!
