Join PRS for a visit to the spectacular garden of Yvonne Tsikata, PRS Consulting Rosarian and Extension Master Gardener, affiliated with Green Spring Gardens in Northern Virginia. Yvonne’s garden is a horticultural masterpiece, continually evolving with the passage of time and revealing special treats for garden lovers in each of the four seasons. The garden has been featured in Fine Gardening Magazine, and you can view the article here: https://www.finegardening.com/article/yvonnes-new-garden-in-virginia
Yvonne named her garden Lomnava, which means “If you love me, you will come to me” in the Ewe language (Ghana). PRS is delighted to be able to provide members with an opportunity to experience this special garden. This is a MEMBERS ONLY event, so if you are not yet a PRS member, now is the time to join:

When Yvonne moved to her home in 2017, she used her 25 years of gardening experience to design her garden from what was an open field of grass. Her design was based on a series of garden “rooms”, each with a different theme and function, including a mini meadow, a formal garden, a white garden, a Japanese-inspired garden, and a woodland garden. Roses are a big passion of Yvonne’s, and she dedicates a significant amount of space to them in her gardens. Rose lovers will be enchanted by the rose parterre and the new apricot rose garden, along with the many beautiful arbors and obelisks, embellished with gorgeous climbing roses.
To see more photos of Yvonne’s breathtaking garden, we encourage you to follow her on Instagram at @rosemama20. Also visit fellow PRS member, Kimberley Dean’s (The Rose Geek) YouTube channel for a short tour of her garden and interview with Yvonne with a longer tour of her garden.
Registration for this event will close on May 15. Members may bring one guest, and refreshments will be served. An email with directions will be sent to registrants in the days prior to the event. We look forward to seeing you on May 19!
ARS Consulting Rosarians will earn one credit toward recertification for attending this open garden event.
